Jul 07, 2007 I just got an Alesis MultiMix 8 USB mixer to record my drums and also a bass player. I was hoping that once I connected the multimix to my Mac I would be able to record each channel separately. However all the channels are being mixed together in Garageband and Ableton Live. Jul 01, 2011 Mac Mini 2.53GHz Pentium Core 2 Duo with OS X 10.6.7 with 4 GB RAM; Scratch Live (w/ Video-SL), Rane SL3 (2 Technics and AEM200), the Denon DN-HC100S, and a Trigger Finger; Ableton Live 8 with APC40; AND NOW A MultiMix 8. Everything seems to be playing nicely and I am truly impressed with the speed and usability of this product.
Hello! I am pretty new to recording and recently purchased a Alesis Multimix 6 so that I could record multiple tracks simultaneously in live. Its initial purpose is for me and two of my friends to record a podcast. I wanted to be able to have 3 inputs recording to 3 separate tracks at the same time and the multimix was cheap and seemed to fit the bill. But when I try to set it up to use it in Live 8 it only shows 1 set of inputs as being available. I have no idea how to access the other 5. Can anyone help me out with this or make me understand why it isn't working? My set-up: PC with Windows 7 running Live 8
